STAM participated in the Computer Science Workshop 2024 held on 9th and 10th September 2024, organized by the Immersive Reality Department of the University of Genova’s Computer Science Faculty (DIBRIS). STAM was represented by Stefano Fabbri and Luca Bianconi.
Stefano Fabbri delivered a presentation within the SPIRIT project, focusing on enhancing the security of religious sites through advanced VR simulators and the implementation of interoperability between simulators using HLA (High-Level Architecture) and DIS (Distributed Interactive Simulation) protocols. STAM’s contributions in developing a VR scenario builder, crowd simulation engine, and simulators federation were described and promoted as part of the company’s activities in SPIRIT. Together with STAM, other important industrial partners participated to the event.
The event had a scientific audience, including students, researchers, and other industrial partners working on VR and XR technologies. STAM also engaged in bilateral meetings with students, professors, and researchers, addressing questions and offering further insights on the SPIRIT project and into the presented topics.
