SPIRIT Tabletop Exercise Event in Athens Wrap-Up

The SPIRIT Consortium recently hosted a 3-day training event focused on protecting places of worship and religious gatherings. This event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders committed to enhancing security measures across Europe.

Event Highlights:

Day 1: Comprehensive training sessions on security for places of worship

Day 2: A collaborative Tabletop Exercise (TTX) featuring hands-on technology demonstrations

Day 3: Dissemination of project outputs and results from the TTX

A TTX is a discussion-based, collaborative exercise where participants role-play emergency scenarios to test and adapt response plans. This format provides an excellent opportunity to:

Test emergency response plans

Enhance understanding of roles and responsibilities

Improve communication pathways in emergency settings

As part of the 3-day TTX in Athens, we concluded the exercise with a public event focused on Dissemination and Communication. We discussed our current project activities and future developments.

Nikolaos Lalazisis opened the day with an insightful project overview, setting the stage for the valuable discussions to follow.
